GATE Online Form 2025 - 30 Posts, Last Date: 26th September 2024
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee has released the official notification for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. GATE 2025 will be conducted for 30 subjects and will be held on 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th February 2025. The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a nationwide examination administered by the GATE Committee, consisting of faculty from IISc Bangalore and seven IITs, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development.
Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for admission and/or financial assistance in Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts and Science in institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies. Some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also use GATE scores to shortlist candidates for employment, including organizations like BHEL, GAIL, HAL, IOCL, NTPC, NPCIL, ONGC, and PGCIL.
Direct recruitment to Group A level posts in Central government, such as Senior Field Officer (Tele), Senior Research Officer (Crypto), and Senior Research Officer (S&T) in the Cabinet Secretariat, is now being conducted based on GATE scores.
