About HS 1st Year Admission 2025
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-II, also known as Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), has launched the Darpan Portal for online admissions to Higher Secondary (HS) 1st Year (Class 11). If you passed the HSLC exam this year, you can apply for the 2025-2026 session. Applications start on 17th April 2025. You can apply to a maximum of 5 institutions.

About Darpan Portal
- A. Purpose: Online admission for HS 1st Year for 2025-2026
- B. Who Uses It: Colleges, HS schools, and senior secondary schools
- C. Institution Registration: Principals must update their institution’s profile on Darpan using existing login details
- D. New Institutions: Schools with recent ASSEB permission must register using a token number sent via SMS
- E. Mandatory Codes:
- HS/Sr. Sec. Schools: UDISE Code
- Degree Colleges: AISHE Code
Note: The Darpan Portal is a user-friendly website with options to register, log in, and apply for HS admissions (screenshot not embedded).
How to Apply Online?
Follow these steps to apply for HS 1st Year admission:
- A. Visit the Darpan Portal
- B. Click on “HS 1st Year Online Admission” link
- C. Select “Register a New Account”
- D. Enter your personal and educational details
- E. Upload:
- Passport-size photo
- 10th marksheet
- F. Choose a 4-digit Login PIN and click Register
- G. Log in again using your credentials
- H. Select your desired course and up to 5 institutions in order of preference
- I. Click Submit and print the form for future use
- J. Check the portal regularly for updates on your admission status

- A. Recent Passport Size Photograph
- B. HSLC/10th Marksheet (Digital)
- C. Caste Certificate (if applicable)

- A. Start Date to Apply: 17th April 2025

- C. Merit List Preparation: 25th–26th April 2025
- D. Merit List Declaration: 27th April 2025 at 10:00 AM
- E. Accept Admission Offer: 27th–29th April 2025
- F. Admission Confirmation by Institutions: 30th April–10th May 2025
How to Check Merit List?
Follow these steps to check your admission status:
- A. Go to the Darpan Portal
- B. Click on “HS 1st Year Merit List” link
- C. Enter your Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Security PIN
- D. Click Login
- E. Open the “Application Submitted” section
- F. Check the status of your applications for each college/school
- G. If selected, click “Accept Admission Request” to confirm your seat
Note: Merit lists are prepared based on your HSLC/AHM exam performance and published by institutions on 27th April 2025.
