State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025 – 23rd March 2025 (170+ Posts)
The State Eligibility Test (SET) is conducted by the SLET Commission, Assam (NE Region). It aims to select eligible candidates for appointment as Assistant Professors in line with the UGC NET.
Exam Date: 23rd March 2025 (Sunday)
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: No age limit.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have at least 55% marks (General/EWS) or 50% marks (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in Master’s Degree.
- Candidates in their final year of Master’s Degree can also apply.
Application Fee
- General: ₹1200
- OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹1050
- SC/ST: ₹1000
- PWD: ₹800

- Visit the official SLET website.
- Click on "Online Application Form" and complete the registration process.
- Login and fill out your details. Upload required documents.
- Pay the application fee and submit your form.
- Take a printout of the submitted form for future reference.

Exam Details
The SET exam consists of two papers conducted in offline mode:
- Paper 1: 50 Questions, 100 Marks, 1 Hour (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
- Paper 2: 100 Questions, 200 Marks, 2 Hours (11:30 AM - 1:30 PM)
Note: No negative marking.
Exam Centers
Exams will be conducted in the following centers:
- Gauhati University
- Dibrugarh University
- Tezpur University
- ...and other centers in the North Eastern region.
