Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Engineering Services Examination
Age Limit:
The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years as of 1st January 2025. The candidate should have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 2004.

- OBC: 3 years

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering from a recognized university in India.
- Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
- A degree or diploma in Engineering from a recognized foreign institution, as recognized by the Government of India.
- Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
- Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
- Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London (held after November 1959).
Special Qualifications:
For candidates applying for the following services:
- Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts): M.Sc. in Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics, or Radio Engineering.
- Indian Radio Regulatory Service Group ‘A’: M.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, or Telecommunication as a special subject.
